Damianchik, from the village of Zatoka, Odessa region, is the second expected child in the family. There is also a girl who is 19 years older, the father serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Damianchik was born with Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect with a perimembranous septal defect, a secondary atrial septal defect of the 1st degree.
The child took a lot of medication and there was hope that the septal defects would heal. But, unfortunately, the doctors said that surgery was needed and it was advisable to do it before 6 months of age. As a child with Down syndrome, any acquired skills are given with difficulty and a regular operation through an opening in the chest will set back the skills of crawling, holding the head and other skills.
Therefore, a minimally invasive surgery is desirable so that rehabilitation is faster and less painful. The Foundation helped and paid for Damianczyk's surgery
"🙏🏻 Thank God, the Bonum Ukraine Foundation, our defenders and the people who help that there is an opportunity to perform the operation in such a difficult time for everyone! Many thanks for the opportunity to be healthy for my son! 🙏🏻❤️" - says Damianchyk's mother. The Foundation continues to help seriously ill children and fulfill the noble mission of SAVE LIVES!!!
The donation amount is non-refundable, and the funds are distributed among the foundation's projects
