Angelina was born on a quiet spring day, when the world was just waking up. Her mother's heart trembled with happiness, but somewhere deep inside, her intuition whispered: you need to see a doctor. And this quiet hint saved the most precious thing — time. Very early on, she was diagnosed with visual impairment — high-grade amblyopia in both eyes, chorioretinal scarring due to congenital chorioretinitis, nystagmus, mild myopia in the right eye, moderate myopia in the left eye, complex myopic astigmatism in both eyes... It was a very complex diagnosis, with too many questions and fears.
A long journey began — Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and back to Kyiv. Hospital corridors, the smell of medicine, endless queues and prayers for even the slightest improvement. But they were there — professional doctors who held her hand and have been holding not only the child but also her mother for almost 14 years. Their knowledge, humanity and faith gave her a chance. Thanks to this, today Angelina can see the world — not as brightly as others, but enough to notice beauty and learn new things every day.
To support the girl's vision and maintain the results of her treatment, the Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation purchased the necessary medication for Angelina and paid for the manufacture of customised glasses specifically for her complex diagnosis. This is another important step that helps her live, learn and develop.
Despite her poor eyesight, this girl has an amazing gift. She draws. She draws as if she sees with her heart. With delicate movements, she draws lines that form little miracles. Her drawings radiate light, warmth and strength. Perhaps fate took away a part of her sight, but in return gave her a special vision — deeper, more sincere, more real.
Her story is one of struggle, faith and love. Because sometimes, to see the world, you don't need perfect vision. It is enough to have a big heart and those who are always by your side.
The donation amount is non-refundable, and the funds are distributed among the foundation's projects
