Implants for Bohdanchik: life-changing help!

Bohdanchik was born prematurely, at 32 weeks’ gestation, and from the very first days of his life he has been bravely fighting for his health. The little boy has suffered serious health complications, undergone prolonged treatment in intensive care and been left with a disability. Today, his primary diagnosis is a developmental disorder of the hip joints, which requires complex surgical treatment.

To improve the boy’s quality of life, doctors performed a complex orthopaedic operation: open reduction of a hip dislocation, corrective osteotomy of the right femur and pelvic reconstruction.

The ‘Bonum Ukraine’ Charitable Foundation helped Bogdanchik by covering the cost of the implants needed for the operation. These implants are a vital component of the child’s successful surgical treatment and subsequent rehabilitation.
