Pain-relieving help: dental treatment for Yegor!

The Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation helped 5-year-old Yegor receive the dental treatment he needed. The boy had been suffering from severe pain and inflammation for a long time, making it difficult for him to eat properly and feel well. The Foundation covered the cost of the dental treatment itself, as the condition of his teeth required urgent intervention.

Please note, however, that the Foundation does not cover the cost of sedation, so only the medical aspect of the treatment was funded.

Yegor has had complex health issues since birth. After he was born, he was diagnosed with hypoxic-ischaemic injury and congenital right-sided focal pneumonia. Later, doctors identified a genetic condition — adrenal cortical hyperplasia — which requires ongoing hormone treatment and regular medical supervision. At the age of 2 years and 11 months, the boy was also diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Due to his developmental characteristics, Yegor has difficulty understanding spoken language, so he is unable to control his behaviour during a routine dental appointment.
Long-term hormone therapy has had a negative impact on the condition of his teeth. The boy developed severe damage, inflammation and abscesses, causing constant pain and preventing him from eating normally. This is precisely why treatment was essential and could no longer be postponed.
