Rehabilitation for Mark!

Little Mark’s mum reached out via social media. She filled in a form, and the Foundation paid for Mark’s rehabilitation course at the ‘Elita’ Rehabilitation Centre.

Mark is a special boy with great inner strength. He was born prematurely, at 32 weeks, weighing just 1,400 grams, and has been fighting for his development from the very first days of his life.
The boy has been diagnosed with spastic tetraparesis, so regular rehabilitation is critically important for his development.
After completing the rehabilitation, funded by the Foundation, Mark has taken a small but significant step forward.
Following this rehabilitation, Mark seems to have taken a small but significant step forward… And whilst to some these may seem like minor details, for us they are huge victories.
"We can see how he has changed: he has become calmer, more focused; his movements are no longer so jerky, but more deliberate and controlled. He lies on his tummy for longer, pushes up more confidently, gets up on his hands, tries to hold himself up on all fours… And most precious of all — for the first time, he managed to crawl on his stomach. It was a moment we will remember forever.
The changes are not limited to physical development. Mark has started to understand spoken language better, is more interested in the world around him, reaches out to other children, and tries to interact with them. He has even started to eat more solid food — another small but important step.
