This handsome manly Cossack in the photo is five-year-old Mark. Outwardly, he looks like a normal, healthy child, but unfortunately he was born with a heart defect, an open ductus arteriosus. Every year Mark had a medical examination and this year it turned out that the duct had widened and required an operation, which the parents could not afford. Our foundation, together with you, helped the family by purchasing an expensive implant - an occluder. At the M.M. Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, Mark underwent an operation - endovascular closure of an open ductus arteriosus with the help of a heart implant. From now on, he is healthy and dreams of defending Ukraine, like his dad now.
