Three stages of rehabilitation for Mykola from the Foundation!

Mykola is 5 years old. He used to be a very active and cheerful boy, but in April 2025, he was diagnosed with a complex condition — Perthes disease (aseptic necrosis of the right femoral head).

The child is not allowed to stand on his leg and needs to remain in a lying position for a long time, wear a cast, and later an orthosis. In April 2025, Mykola underwent his first surgery. At the same time, he began rehabilitation, which must be undergone every three months.

The Bonum Ukraine Charitable Foundation paid for three stages of the necessary rehabilitation for Mykola.

During these courses, HILT therapy, SIS therapy, physical therapy, and therapeutic massage were performed. All procedures are aimed at restoring the hip joint, improving blood supply, reducing pain, and supporting muscles.

There are already positive results:
— the acute pain has disappeared;
— Mykola can bend his leg almost to its full range of motion on his own;
— he has mastered riding a special exercise bike.

These results are important steps on the road to recovery and Mykola's return to an active childhood.
